I know theres a report already there for customer activity that way you can find activity for a time period. What I want to know is there a way to make a report that does the same thing but only prints out the report for companys only, and not both company and customers???

As of right now, I'm not seeing a way to do that. But, maybe someone will come along with an idea. If nothing else, maybe that's a recommendation for something that you'd like to see in the future.
