arrrrggggg venturi carbs. the only good they did was making it easier to get away from the police. i learned early on those pieces of  that the best thing to do was take them off and bring them over to the work bench carefully clean the work surface lay a fender cloth down, place the carb carefully in the middle and then take a hammer and beat the  out of it then wrap up the cloth and bring it over and shake it into the dumpster. oh wait a minute i did save the wing nut. i would then call the part's store and order the holly replacement carb. they would work great in the summer but when the cold weather hit they would ice up. i use to love when they would ice up and wouldn't idle down when the driver would try to slow down while on the highway. the toyota venturi was even better. 5 years after they were in production toyota couldn't supply replacement parts for them. i had a couple of customers that were driving tercels that were less than thrilled with toyota. what about nissans little venture into vac controled carb, er, what ever they called it. they always seemed to survive till it was just out of warranty.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Tina, you remind me of "My cousin Vinny"! The movie, not my real cousin. How long does it take to cook grits? (grits: girls raised in the south)
