Help with A/R and open POs

Postby mastertech » Tue Jul 15, 2014 9:20 am

We just upgraded from 5.9 to SE, and all went smoothly, thanks to excellent tech support. Here's my problem- we've been running Manager since November of 2009, and the boss has handled charge accounts outside of the program, so now I have a handful of accounts with multiple charge invoices and no payments to applied. Any useful way to clean that up? Also have not been diligent in receiving and closing POs, so there are a ton of those as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum (lurker since 2009!) and thanks for your post.

Let's see if I have this correct; Manager 5.9 invoices were posted to history as Charge transactions way back when but the payments were never processed against those invoices for those customers? One could open F5 Batch Payment and apply payments of 100% balance due to clear them but this will skew reports as a lot would be received all at once. Update Customer method? I'll let the sharper reports experts advise what is best in this instance.

As for the not receiving Purchase Orders and letting them pile up, tech support *may* have a tool for this. They will have to confirm that it works for your current version. Make sure you receive PO parts properly going forward.

Agreed. Update Customer feature, one at a time. Leaves my accounting intact.
