1st Mile SE 7.0.18 Receipt Printing?

We've just installed 1st Mile on Shop Management 7.0.18. We're trying to get a printed receipt from 1st Mile after each transaction. In 1st Mile's configuration we've set it to "Automatically print receipt" and have been successful in printing just using the middle-ware e.g. using 1st Mile outside of Shop Management. However, when completing a transaction within Shop Management we get nothing...like Shop Management is intercepting/cancelling the request to print somehow. I see nothing in the print queue at all nor do I see any spool activity.

I've been in touch with both 1st Mile and Shop Management support with less than positive results. Any ideas?

Is option #3 under Configurations / Special Maintenance / Payment Processing selected for "Print Authorization on Invoice"?

I've actually tried it both ways, neither prints the signed authorization. Maybe what I'm looking to see is something different than the result. I expected to see the "signed" authorization on the receipt similar to the printed receipt if you were just using the middle-ware stand alone. It's possible that my expectation is outta whack but the current invoice, without the signed authorization, is pretty much useless to a customer.

In addition, we shutdown the computers every night. When we boot up in the morning Electronic Payment Processing is disabled. I've contacted 1st Mile Support as well as Mitchell1 and it has yet to be resolved. Mitchell1 said let's wait to see if it happens again even though it happened multiple days in row, 1st Mile said it's a Mitchell1 issue.

Very frustrated with 1st Mile support. They seem to be on a clock and they jump at potential fixes without even listening to the problem. At least that's my experience so far. It takes much longer to process than our old system and if we can't resolve these "minor" issues we may punt and go back to the original system.

Ahhh, different question, you want the actual signature to print on the invoice, that does not happen today. The ability to capture, store and print the actual customer signature is future work that has not yet been scheduled. I don't understand why you would say " without the signed authorization, is pretty much useless to a customer." Just like many other POS systems, our management software prints the authorization needs to be signed by the customer. Just anecdotally, the shop I go to for mount and balance motorcycle tires uses their industries #1 solution: Lightspeed. That system prints and entire 8x10 sheet of paper as the credit card receipt. Our system at the very least prints that authorization on the same document as the Invoice, and there should never be an error in the amount charged.

It was the signature capture that we are missing. When 1st Mile was sold to us we were told the receipt was printed on the Invoice which would have been nice. Now we don't printed receipt like our old CC system had...now we only have the cryptic text at the top.

Yes unfortunately 1st Mile was under the impression the signature was captured, that is not the case with this version.
