Message Pro - Ability To Text 2 People Per Account

Message Pro - Ability To Text 2 People Per Account

Postby ARS » Mon Nov 24, 2014 11:05 am

We will like the ability to text 2 people per account. I just texted a husband that they needed an oil change. He texted back that he just got one. But the message was for his wife's car. He told me to text her... I told him we were unable to text to more than one person per account.

This is not the only instance we have had with this. We would really appreciate the ability to text more than one person per account!

Thanks, ARS

Hi,

Thanks for posting.

We are still working out the technical side of this function and will likely add it in some form in the future. The main problem is if shops manually select which number to send it to, how would the automatic appointment reminders know which one to send it to? In the meantime, our recommended practice is to create a separate customer record for each family members instead of sharing it among a single account.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions, or suggestions.

I am not sure how the automatic stuff would work. But in Set-up of the program it has 2 spots for the texting to work.... We call them Cell #1 & Cell #2. Maybe sent the reminder to both. Or the just the first one for automatic. But we could text a second # manually?

The practice of setting up a second account just to use for cell phone is not practical for us... We try to keep mailing addresses to a min. for when we send out bulk mailings.. This would add many people to our mailings to sort out & not send to. Bulk mailings are already a long tedious process (as stated in other threads).

The automation does not need to work for more than one cell in an account. Just the ability to text more than one person in the account manually would be most helpful!

Thanks, ARS

We hope this gets resolved soon.

Hi I am trying to send a message to 2 different #'s from the Message Manager at the same time.
Talked to Tech support they say it can't be done? Am I not setting something up correct or not.

Hi John,

Everything sounds fine with your settings. At this moment; however, Message Manager can only send one text at a time.

We have added your question to our feature request list, and hopefully will be able to accomplish it, assuming it’s feasibly possible.

Hope this helps.
