Welcome Station - Manager Alert

When customers check in with Welcome Station and there is no existing order, Welcome Station creates an order and marks the status as 'Welcome Station'. If there is an existing order, any upsells and notes are added, however, if the customer did not add anything and merely checked in there is no alert or recognizable change that would indicate this. Looking at Manager you'd never know the customer checked in. Typically office staff is aware of who is at the tablet, but I can foresee circumstances where they might not. Would it be a good idea to have some indication on the order of a check-in such as a status change or note in these cases?

So you are saying Ric that the Welcome Station Status is not being triggered in this situation? Or that we need some other indicator for this situation

That's correct. There is no status change on an existing order once a customer checks in. I don't care what indicator occurs, really, as long as there is SOME kind of indication.

I'm following up on this. Another good reason for this enhancement is to monitor and ensure the office staff utilizes Welcome Station to the fullest. If the staff is allowing customers to bypass the device, there is no way for management to know this. They just see that it 'isn't working' or that the device has a 'poor ROI' and cancel out.

Just had an event where a customer started a Welcome Station session but never finished it. Without an alert, we didn't realize it wasn't finished until well after he left. Any update on this?
