Copy Search Text Into New Customer Dialog?

Copy Search Text Into New Customer Dialog?

Postby GUTHTIRE » Tue Apr 04, 2017 11:07 am

I'm not sure if this was mentioned previously...would it be possible to copy the text from within the Scheduler "Find Customer for Schedule" dialog to the New Customer "Create New Customer" dialog?

Scenario: Customer on the phone says they want to come in for x, y & z. You click on the Scheduler to enter a new entry. You ask their last name and type it in "Simpson". You have Simpson's in your you ask for a first name. Mary. There are no Mary's listed. Then you ask has the vehicle been here before. "No, I'm a new customer". So you click the New Customer button.

At this point in the scenario the New Customer window pops-up with nothing filled in. Could the New Customer window have, in this case, "Simpson" pre-filled?

The above example was using Simpson. I just had one where the name was MAMIDIPALLI, SATYENDRA...try remembering that one when the New Customer window comes up blank!

I believe it was mentioned before, but well worth repeating.
