Mighty catalog?

Hi everyone. Is the Mighty catalog available for 5.9? I noticed that there is one available for SE v 6.4

Likely no. Advancements for 5.9 are pretty much at a standstill since SE came out.

Welcome to the forum and posting your question.

The Mighty catalog came to development after work switched to Manager SE. A Mighty parts catalog installer was made available here as item #10: http://m1faqs.com/fix/SE/catalogs/

1. Close Manager SE
2. Run the catalog installer (just a few seconds)
3. Restart Manager SE
4. Go to Configurations - Toggle Catalog Availability; set Mighty button to ON
5. Go to Configurations - Vendor Setup; modify existing or create new Mighty Parts entry
6. Click on Setup Link in vendor setup window; enter username and password for your Mighty account
7. Click OK and save this input

Now the Mighty button is active and parts may be selected and ordered.

Thats a bummer thats its only for SE, but understand. I was mainly asking because in SE ShopCat is no longer available, we rely on it so heavily (as a 5.9 user still) for a part look up because of the ability to see "QOH" of our inventory based on manufacture line code. It seems that none of the other integrated catalogs have the same ability. We do stock Mighty products, but other lines as well, so unless there is something else with in SE like ShopCat that I am not aware of; we loose the ability to "look up/source/view" stocked items with out already knowing the part number. Making since I hope. We would like to make the move to SE, but this seems to be a real hold back for us. Up for suggestions. Thanks

Tim - does this need to be done at each work station or just the host computer?

As to Mighty thru a local installed disc-based ShopCAT catalog by MCL file, that was a to be a stepping stone towards eventual web catalog replacement that is now available for SE.

That prior design is more about Epicor (Activant) than Mighty themselves. We provide SDKs (software developer kits) to vendors to create the catalog interface and they decide the features to include. It takes more programming effort and testing to check local QOH when the catalog is on the web; that combined with a general feeling that shops are likely stocking less parts to need this have prevented us from seeing this available more often.
