Re: Prospect App Updates?
Guys - Silky7 is battling a new computer changeover so I will address this question.
We were just about to step onto the launchpad (or the altar) of AAPEX/SEMA, when senior management made the decision we would not release the digital inspection replacement at this time. It is still coming but it's going to be a few months more now. The primary driver for this decision is a larger feature change for Manager SE is in process and the way the inspections process works would be required to change in a major way. The prevailing opinion was that we'd not want to launch the current method only to completely change how this works 90-120 days later.
We apologize for this change of plans, it caught us by surprise. There will be updates once the development effort sorts out further.

Indeed, if only the dev timeline would allow for that.

Hey all, If we are never getting a decent app that works. Can I start working with someone to improve and update prospect. Its garbage but I have been using it and have some updates that will be a game changer in my world. Its time to do something or get off the pot!

Re: Prospect App Updates?
I know, a lot of us have been putting in our two cents mostly on this thread (I think) and offering to be beta testers. Sucks, I feel like we've kinda been forgotten about and the app really hasn't been great since the beginning but we've all just kind of been dealing with it because what choice do we have? Bolt On is really nice but it's nice to have everything on one company if there's issues (rather than Mitchell saying it's a problem with Bolt On and vice versa). Also at the time when we switched from Bolt On's MPIs to Mitchell's, it was substantially cheaper (not so much now).bigmak0311 wrote: Wed Feb 25, 2026 6:11 am Hey all, If we are never getting a decent app that works. Re: Prospect App Updates?
Backstory - We were ready to launch this last Fall. Then it was decided to pull back and combine it with another product to improve estimating.bigmak0311 wrote: Wed Feb 25, 2026 6:11 am Hey all, If we are never getting a decent app that works. The estimating feature is in beta testing with shops now for another 2 weeks.
Manager SE 9.3 and the new inspection / estimating product options are slated for April.

Re: Prospect App Updates?
Tim, If you want to push it out further and kicking the can down the road fine. I'm willing to run a beta even if its a WIP just to stimulate progress. I feel Mitchell was turning the corner with new YouTube content and a lot of hype last summer to all of a sudden turn to ghost. I'm not interested in trying another product, I'm interested in turning Mitchell into the behemoth it is capable of.

I was excited to see this thread updated..... only to get a 30-90 days more response.
I hope the new product is worth the wait.

Re: Prospect App Updates?
Hi All,
I understand the confusion and frustration you're having. As a user, I too get concerned when something goes dark.
We haven't shared any updates, nor taken up your offers for beta testing (thanks though, we still might!) as plans have been dynamic for the last few months. I'm going to take my best shot at bringing you up to speed.
Yes, we announced a new inspection offering last year, and we were very close to launch when it was decided to bolster the offering with another product. Now, this is no real secret - some of you may have seen information at SEMA about what was called (at the time) Digital Engine. It's a next-generation estimating product, and we've been working on (and still are) that integration with Manager SE.
Essentially we've been at work on the half of the bundle that wasn't as relevant to inspections. Therefore we didn't really have any updates for you all on this thread.
Now at some point soon this will all coalesce into a new product offering that we can share more details on, but we're still incorporating feedback we've received and making changes based on what our users have told us.
We hate having to change the story. Tim and I here both were surprised when this decision was made. I hope you'll understand this has left us both reticent to try sharing further updates, as things such as timelines, prices and final feature sets are still in flux.
Cheers,
Dan J.

Re: Prospect App Updates?
I will admit that I too have been looking at alternatives. While I appreciate the update/explanation on why things are taking longer then expected, it doesn't help my business run any smoother. Almost would have rather to have had the updated inspection program sooner and then had to learn it all over again when the Manager was updated. At least then I would have felt like there was progress forward. I have my fingers crossed that the new system will be amazing and all of the wait will be worth it. But to be honest if there is not some sort of movement to the web/cloud so that I can access the entire system on the go, I will probably change products to one that is. Just giving honest feedback!

Much appreciated that you've been trying to keep us updated. I think a lot of us get excited when we see an email with the heading "topic reply notification" for this thread and we're thinking maybe it's good news from an admin but it's just one of us begging for an update on the situation again lol. I know I'm not only speaking for my shop when I say we've all been struggling and frustrated with this app for years because it seems like there hasn't even been minor improvements that would help IMMENSELY and make it feel worth it. Just feels a little like it was released, pushed on us, we switched to it from other MPI programs after being promised the app was great and "more improvements" were in the works, and we've just been forgotten about.
I definitely don't mean to come off as rude in any of my posts/replies. Just losing hope at this point and it's gotten so frustrating!

When will 9.3 be released?
Re: Prospect App Updates?
It just started release today, so if you take no action you'll see it over the course of the next few weeks. If you want to get it sooner, you can by going to Help > Check for Updates.
