Re: Prospect App Updates?

Post by dandbperformance »

So I've been watching videos when I have time, I don't quite understand how I'm supposed to get to the screen for service advisors and there's no app update for Prospect yet so the MPIs still look the same. I thought maybe everything was under the new "estimator" feature but this is the popup I get every time I click on it:
Error for Mitchell.png
Error for Mitchell.png (8.35 KiB) Viewed 1509 times
Anyone else having problems or am I doing something wrong?

If you haven't reached out to your rep yet, you have to have a subscription for OneFlow. I signed up yesterday but haven't received my login credentials yet.

Ahhhh, got it. I assumed it was finally an update for the current MPI program. Guess we'll have to look into signing up for it, hopefully it doesn't break the bank much more than the other one!

Did you receive a Welcome message today?
We had to make a change on the report that triggers these.

I did not. I reached out to my rep and he said they were having some issues but still haven't heard anything.

I still haven't received my welcome message. Is it normal to take this long?

I was just told you spoke with a support agent earlier.
The order is placed and then needs to clear order processing. A sales report is generated to trigger sending Welcome emails.
This was observed on Monday April 20th, so it should've generated by now.
Apologies for this new process delay, we'll get you squared away ASAP.

Received welcome email this morning. Going through the sign up and connection process. My mobile device configuration that needs to be changed to HTTPS does not save this and will default back to HTTP. Hence the MSE Inspection page does not connect. Any help here??

Ok. I got it set up. My problem was I was missing my shop name in "Shop Data". Never had it there since the logo was right next to the address at the top of the invoices. I do have 2 questions after using it for the day.

1. The thing that has me confused is how to get parts pricing into the oneflow estimates? Does it only use the OEM pricing? Can you not connect your parts catalog to it? Or is it just a fancier version estimator tab? I guess I don't get the point of using oneflow if you still just transfer the labor to the RO and look up parts the same way we always have??? Maybe I'm missing something!!!

2. Can the customer not ok work that is outside of the Inspection upsells? When I send the text to the customer any of there original complaints/concerns are just labeled "Additional Items Total". It doesn't even say what were doing. Again maybe I'm using it wrong.

I know the Mitchell staff is away but maybe other users can chime in with there experiences with the product so far.

You only have OE parts right now. I'm told that may change. On item 2 I believe you are using it correctly. I feel that line should be renamed appropriately.

If only OE parts that basically makes it useless as far as selling the work. Hopefully they can integrate the parts catalogs quickly.

About question 2.
So if I'm using it correctly what is everyone else's work flow after looking at the car?

1. Call customer and talk about concern they dropped there car off for... since i cant text them an est for approval... I guess i can send them a PDF est to review.
2. Send them a text with the inspection asking for additional money

OR
1. Send them the inspection text asking them to approve a bunch of work they didn't drop the car off for and not address the original complaint.
2. Then call about original concern

Sorry if I'm over thinking this...We did not send the inspections to the customer before and I have been trying to improve our workflow. Was really hoping the "upgraded" inspection would help. But honestly I'm finding it more confusing and harder to use then the old setup

We always address the main concern first. We would send a text for customer to call in. We feel it's best to discuss in person the solution to their concern. At that point we tell them about secondary items and send the text with results and shopping cart. Any approvals come through electronically on secondary items.

Ric,
I appreciate your response. The change to our workflow has been a frustrating process. As I'm sure you could tell from my post!
