File Attachment - ALTUS
File Attachment - ALTUS
I am trying to link my Altus account to Mitchell so that I can attach scan reports to invoices. I can see the scans in Altus so I know the files are being saved. I think that I somehow have an old Altus account that I don't know the login for, because I had a car that pulled up a scan from 2021 and 2022. Any help would be appreciated!

Take a look at this Knowledgebase article first and see if this helps: https://kb.mitchell1.com/articles/attac ... n-account/

Re: File Attachment - ALTUS
Thank you. I apparently had 2 accounts. A personal account from the old tip system (wish you guys would bring back the tips embedded in the repair section) and a shop account so all the tools had access to AutoAuth and Security link. Linked both and now I can see all the files.
The files from 2021-2022 all show up as PDF and the newer files all show up as XML. I cant open the XML files and the link that prints on the invoice is not valid. Is this a setting that I need to change?

Re: File Attachment - ALTUS
What kind of scan tool is outputting XML files?
The XML file type was not included as one of the compatible file types for Manager SE file attachments. I'll take this as feedback and bring it up to the dev team to see if we can add it.
In the meantime, here is a workaround you can do:
1. Log in to https://www.altusdrive.com/ using the Technician Account with the applicable file(s)
2. Find the applicable file
3. Click the 3 dots to the right of it's name
4. Select Download
5. Zip the file or save the file as a compatible file type
6. Attach the new file to the order
Note: Zip files can't be previewed, they are downloaded instead and will have to be unzipped to view the contents.
