2004 Chev Tahoe - 5.3L Service Brake Booster

Does any one know what this is? I cant find any info and the speedo service center has said this for 2 years. We dont even know the mileage anymore. it say" SERVICE BRAKE BOOSTER" all the time. I cleared the codes and it comes right back on.

That message usually refers to the supplemental vacuum assist system on GM's, but I believe that vehicle is not equipped with it. It's hydroboost, right? Maybe the wrong IPC was installed or the wrong software?

Bingo! Ric nailed it right on the head. If the cluster is replaced and the not programmed, this will come up. Seen it myself.

Someone else got a hold of it and did a crappy repair. neat never seen this

I think the 03 had the supplemental vacuum system. Could it be an 03?

Thanks for the help.. It went to GM to have the dash cluster replaced on the fuel guage recall. We thought about it, and that is when the problem started, a couple of years ago. It goes back in tomorrow. Again, Thanks
